Due to the bus being so late we arrived back to Gondar too late to change hotels or to book the bus for the following day. We demanded another room at at a better rate, then went to bed.

The next morning we booked the bus to Laibella and on the way we were able to pick out plenty of fresh bites (no mosquitoes at this altitude) from the night before and draw one of two conclusions.
The other hotel room has a bed bug problem too.
Or, the rather sobering thought, we have fleas....

dad forwarded your blog address. Rupert and i have reallly enjoyed reading them all and look forward to the next installment. You ahve had quite a tough time and although i have not met Charlie yet, i admire her for her tenacity. Diahorrea, fleas and bed bugs - not a good cocktail, and you with your sore throat. When Rupert and i sset of fto drive from Devon to Capetown, SA we had mroe bad luck, burlaries, illnesses etc in the first 3 weeks than we had during the rest of the year. Let's hope it is the same for you both.

Henry and Tim very happy at uni - not much sign of vast amounts of work being done but Facebook is apparently full of various parties in various fancy dress outfits with various blondes hanging off their shoulders..

Rupert has not caught anything bigger (yet) than the 75 lb shark but has bought bigger better bait and hooks and his next target is a blue shark... He knows what he is doing adn researches his victims - let's hope the sharks know too. But he has quite a lot of money from the photos that he sent off to the press - about £400 i total - certainly will pay for another reel or two!!

Love to you and say Hi to Charlie
Take care and keep up the blog.
Love Becky

I'm having a steep learning curve getting on to FaceBook and receiving your blog. I think mosquitos do not like garlic so eat as much as you can.

Had a lunch party and when i got downstairs the sun was splitting the heavens and I thought "Lovely for my guests to admire the Mournes" but then I looked at the glass doors and windows - FILTHY -but, before i could even THINK of windowlene - lashing rain and dar, dark clouds. Mournes disappeared. Tis an ill wind............... Didn't bother with windowlene and guests didn't try and peer out to the Mournes. Keep safe and don't forget N'goro N'goro. Hugs G. S.
