Day 9 part 3
Noordwijk aan Zee is located on the North Sea. I find a great Hotel called the Palace and thats what it looks like a Palace. Inside it looks like a movie studio of the roaring 20's. It is beautiful. It has underground parking and the rooms are like an apartment. Has a small living room, the bedroom and bath room. A lot of the hotels in Europe have the room with the toilet separate from the room with the tub and shower for obvious reasons I guess. It has slippers, robes, towel warmers. I could stay here a few days. The full breakfast buffet is complementary. The hotel overlooks the North Sea, great views from here. The room has a balcony.
The one thing I have noticed here, is that they do not have syrup. I have not seen syrup anywhere in Europe. They eat fruit and cream or powder sugar on their stuff. I was really looking forward to a real Belgium waffle with syrup. But here, Belgium waffles are treated more like we would use biscuits. It is more of a bread to them. I need to stay here and teach them how to eat Belgium waffles with syrup and lots of it ! Don't they have Maple trees in Europe ? I know you can make syrup from sugar, my Mom use to do it all the time. More thumbnails ...
