Visiting all the London sites
What can I say, it's almost magical the first time you visit Picadilly Circus. You hear so much about it, yet not really knowing why ! Here's a little history - Piccadilly Circus is where five major roads converge. This huge trafic intersection is the hub of London's West End in the City of Westminster. Built in 1819 to connect Regent Street with the major shopping street of Piccadilly. Picadilly Circus is known for its video display and neon signs mounted on the corner building on the northern side, as well as the Shaftesbury memorial fountain and statue of an archer popularly known as Eros. Look on the internet and you can find really old picture of some of the first big signs to hang in Piadilly Circus. Enough history !
This is a great place to meet when your traveling with friends or family. It is also a great place to buy souvenirs, eat, see shows, shop, did I mention eat, ok I think you got it ! As a quick update, I uploaded all my Picadilly Circus pics to Flickr. Since then Google Maps, MasterCard, and many news agencies has ask permission to use some of the pics I took ! Hey "Life is like a box of chocolates !" Here is a link to some of my Picadilly Circus pictures. http://www.flickr.com/photos/padalecki/1555936629/in/set-72157602394814362/
