GREENOUGH
(7 January 2007 to 11 January 2007)
The caravan park and tranquility was more appealing here and had a friendly relaxed atmosphere and pool and BBQ area. The river offered us to go crabbing and boy did we get some.
Every day we went crabbing we got 15-25 crabs. We were so sick of them after 3 days that we stopped trying to get them. We made a huge baking dish of crab mornay, it was glutteny. We did try fishing as well without success.
You could drive straight onto the beach and go 4wd driving along tracks. The sand was soft, so you had to be very careful to let your tyres right down, we got ourselves into tricky situations.
We celebrated here and played cards into the wee hours and found out that we had sold our old caravan back home, which was a relief as we had just paid for the rego and were hoping to offload it sooner than later for fear that it might start to leak again after our hard earned efforts of working on it three weekends in a row and spending lots of money on it before we left.
