When we arrived back in The Devil's Playground, there was a school trip of about 50 screaming school kids to meet us. They had the complete run of the place & terrorised us all. We couldn't cook tea til 9pm, when the little whippersnappers were doing a music quiz, they used the gym, the table tennis and the snooker table, and generally annoyed everyone in the hostel. I was never a child, and would never have behaved so badly... (London music trip excluded!!). To be fair to them, they did eventually go to sleep at 1am, and had the decency to stay in bed til 6am, so they were quite considerate really to the rest of the people here. Grrr. I am tolerant. I am tolerant. I am tolerant....
Watch out for Rogue Traders, a new band from Australia, starring a familiar castmember from Neighbours
Today, once the lovely girls had finally gone, and the hostel was restored to what it used to be: peace and quiet! We got a lot of shopping done, enough to last us for the week, then I went to walk round the gorge again (same one as last time), while Thom made brownies - what a guy!
Before that we went for a chinese takeaway in town, which was actually a bit disappointing, but as we were having cravings. (Yes, cravings, not John Cravings, we're not talking Newsround here, but food cravings) we decided to go for it!
This evening we chilled with a guy from London, who's going on a 5-day tour of Tasmania. HE was a pretty cool guy, and we just played table tennis & snooker & talked about random stuff. We were also joined by "Grape Boy", who worked from 530 this morning til 7pm in the grape vines, picking all day with only a half hour lunch break. Ok, he got $160 for his troubles, but he looks permenantly knackered. Again, he seemed nice & he's just walked in from graping, looking dead again.
Max - you'll be pleased - we've got pictures of them all!!
