Bad News: Unfortunately "Test Track" is temporarily closed for refurbishment, which is a bit of a shame, still plenty of other stuff to enjoy though!
Good News: The weather has improved considerably, that wind has dropped and the sun is shining brightly
We start with "Spaceship Earth", which has been much improved since we rode it in 2007, followed by "Ellen's Energy Adventure". Next on the agenda was "Mission: SPACE", and we were able to walk straight on to it, which was a surprise considering how many people there were entering the park. Here we completed a three month mission to Mars in no more than three minutes, no easy task let me tell you! Elaine seemed well pleased for some reason, I guess it could have been that it was Gary Sinise (CSI: NY) doing the recorded introductions...!!! From here we headed for "The Lands" where my favourite ride Soarin' is, and we're shocked to find a wait time of over an hour for it, so we got fast passes for later... but they couldn't be used for some five hours! This was amazing as it's usually only an hour or so before fast passes can be used. Obviously I'm not the only one who's favoutite ride it is...!!! No real worries though, we still had "The Seas" and the "World Pavillions" to visit. The Seas was relatively quiet by comparison and we walked straight on to "Nemo and Friends", then checked out the aquarium before heading for the World Pavillions.
So we started our world tour, which pleased Elaine for a second time today as the annual Epcot International Food & Wine Festival was in full swing here. This consists of numerous kiosks, from what seemed like every nation in the world, spread around the Pavillions offering their food specialties and wine from that region..
Time to think of where to go for dinner, and Elise fancied CiCi's Pizza & Pasta Buffet, which is where the terrific Magic Mining Co. Restaurant used to be. Another good call as it was on the way home and was excellent value at less than twenty bucks for three buffet dinners with 32oz sodas...!!! When we got back to the villa the rest of the group were already there and Shaun and the girls were playing volleyball in the pool. Not mentioned it before, but the televisions haven't worked here since we arrived, and this is apparently due to lightning taking out the cable box during a recent storm. The cable guy has been round but to no great effect. So it was an evening of musical tv's to get one to work in the lounge so Elaine, Rob & myself can watch the Formula One Grand Prix of India at 05:30 tomorrow morning...!!!
