Team toured famous home of cricket, Lords, in 2 x groups today. Well organised tour which attracts cricket tragics from all over the globe...indeed ours had people from downunder, NZ, sub-continent, etc.

A very learned, elderly chap opened proceedings by addressing the group for about 15 minutes with fascinating & humourous facts, after which he took us for a guided tour around the ground, through the players' dressing rooms, the players balconies, the main hall, the cricket museum with unbelievable memorabilia of great players going back into the 19th century, around some of the stands, thru the very modern & totally out of place pressbox (with great views of all the wickets being prepared in the centre).

We got to very briefly touch the hallowed grass at the very edge of the field, although it was frowned on by those in authority, as general public is not allowed on the ground itself.

Very enjoyable for anyone remotely interested in the game of cricket....over the top for we who refuse to retire from it just yet!
