As expected the bus we planned to take from Livingstone to Windhoek broke down before it reached Livingstone, and noone could answer whether or not it was leaving the wednesday it was supposed to. We went to the travel agant to find out, but they could not help us. Stuck in Livingstone we had the option of going back to Lusaka with bus (loooong ride), flying to Joburg (expensive) or waiting until sunday (could get in trouble with the visas we had). So in a desperate attempt I ran down to the bus station to hear what was going on. I talked to this guy who said that his bus was leaving for Windhoek in 20 minutes!!!! and that this was the only bus leaving in some days. As the others were scattered around I started to look for the others, and after a while we were on the bus, which we had delayed for about 30 minutes. Our luck had helped us again, but paradocsally the one time we were late for something the bus actually left on time:) To the boarder we had the bus alone and got to sleep a bit strecked out, bus as soon as we crossed the border the bus was filled up tp the max, as usual. The bus was not very comfortable and the seats could not be adjusted. The 18 hour bus ride felt just like an 18 hour busride as it was hard to sleep. A five year old kid were entertaining Bryce and me, but after four !!! hours we just wanted to throw her out the window. An as an example of good parenting, her parents gave her a one liter coke just before bed time. Clever!!! After struggeling through the night we came to Windhoek around seven in the morning and started to look for a place to sleep. The first hostel was full, but the next bed and breakfast i called had a large room which was very cheap. We had survied another loooong jouney, and we had only one left before we were back in Stellie.
