From South Africa to Uganda

Daniel and Graeme drove us to the airport early monday morning. We said our goodbye and headed for new adventures. We didn't experience any problems on our trip and we got to Uganda around 7 in the evening. At the airport we paid 10 dollars to get to the hostel. That is waaaaay to much, but we were tired and didn't care. The hostel was very nice, and very empty, I think we were the only guests. We ordered some goat stew and spoke with the people running the place.
Next morning we headed for Entebe city. First we wandered to the presidential palace. Luckily we knew that it was illegal to take photos, as there are snipers guarding the palace, and tourists have been thrown straight to jail. So we did not take photos. Then we ran into a random guy who showed us around the botanical gardens, which was really a nice place. Different monkies in the threes, storks and other animals. This was the place they played in the old version of Tarzan, so the nature was like in the movies;)
After trying to get to the centre, we ended up in a dodgy pub were we ordered a meal, less than one dollar for a ok meal with beer, could have been worse. Then we took a taxi us back to the hostel and got our backpacks and headed for Kampala, the capital of Uganda. It took for ages. They stop whenever people want to get on or off, and they are never in a hurry. When we got close to the taxi central the quews got bigger, and at the end the traffic didn't move at all, and it was really really hot! After an hour we got to the right taxi central. The centrals are chaos, and there are hundres and hundres. We finally got to the backpacker and meet with the other Norwegians. After chilling for some hours we went back to Kampala centre to eat. It was incredible crowded and we walked like sheep in a herd. We had a nice meal at a good restaurant and headed for a place called sax-pub. The place was interesting, but not very stylish. Rags and me stayed on after the rest of the group left, because I was on a winning streak in pool. I won six times in a row and was playing different people for over two hours, which was kind of cool. I even got the black down on the first shoot one time, that was really nice. So after dancing a bit we went home at one, knowing that the next day would be a cool day: We were gonna raft on the great Nile
