This was the most amazing encounter. I wanted to jump into the water and swim with the dolphins themselves! Returning from Jackson Reef (a leisiurely, fast drift wall dive with lots of large shoals of fusiliers and colonised abandoned oil drums), in the late afternoon we passed a small pod of five Risso dolphins. The skipper cut the engine and the dolphins swam close, across the bough of the boat several times. When it was time leave and the boat started it's engine and pulled away, the dolphins performed a headstand and raised their tails out of the water and waved us farewell! Enjoy the video clips.
