Arrived in Karon, after alot of travelling again....it was a 7 hour bus ride, a boat ride and a taxi ride to reach the area. When we finally arrived at our so called hostel the place was much more like a hotel and we had been upgraded for some reason to a mini suite which was really nice. It was huge, had a massive bed, and a sunken bath looking over the beach ( well you could see the sea...anyway)

Karon is less touristy than Patong ( where most holiday makers and clubbers go) and the beaches are beautiful although it did advise not swim in the sea at Karon during the wet season ( now). We didnt do a great deal here as on the second day here i suffered from severe heat exhaustion. It was a shame but still had a fun time when the air cooled very slightly at night.

We saw our first snake here although it was dead and there are tonnes of geckos and lizards everywhere....anyway due to the lack of options/things to do we are moving to Kata beach ( some German peope we met advised that this was the best beach so we head there in a couple of days!!)
