Ok so we had another 25 hour train ride down to hong kong, which was alot different to our ride on the way up, there was so much more lovely scenery to look at on the way out of Beijing than Hong Kong, including two giant statues of head just in the middle of nowhere.

We arrived back in hong kong and this time are staying on hong kong island, which is a lot different to Mong Kong...for starters the Island Metro line is much more expensive. Since we got back we havent been doing a great deal, just shopping for soveneirs, relaxing and keeping up to date with all the earthquake news.

We met up with Jim a couple of nights back, it was strange seeing him again after so long but at the same time like he hadnt been away. We went for a couple of drinks in Soho and Lain Kwai Fong which were alot more expensive than we had anticipated so that completely blew our budget, but was still fun.. --

Nnong Ping and Po Lin Monastry- we went on a day trip out yesterday to this giant buddha which really is huge and bronze!!! There was so many walks we could have done if we had of had time and insect reppellent. We went to Po lin monastry which had amazing stone carvings on the outside of the buildings and the decor inside was so intricate and vibrant. There are lots of buddha statues and you can even wet the buddhas head to help get rid of any sins....we did not do this as we saw a silly american woman just posing with the ladle and it felt like she wasnt taking it seriously. Up there there are lots of burning incense sticks, pots and houses which is fascinating...it was a really nice place to go.

Well we fly off to Bangkok tommorrow which will be really good, but we cant wait to get to the islands in a few more days time. I also currently have a bad bite on my leg which i hope will go down soon!!! :(
