The flight to Auckland was trouble free. We were flying with LAN and all was good. We watched tv and videos and ate everything they put in front of us. Then we slept the rest of the way to New Zealand.

Arrived into NZ and we had to get the tent cleaned and Orla's boots cleaned before they would let us into the country. Then we got picked up in out taxi and taken out to Jim and Rosaries place where they were waiting to meet us. Andrew was there aswell and we stayed up for a while getting up to date on all the gossip. Then we went into Auckland for a look around. Its a grand place. So much like home that it was weird, but good all the same.
Had dinner cooked by Jim and then called it a night.

Up early next morning and off to the North Lands and the Bay of Islands.
