"Night comes to the desert all at once, as if someone turned off the light."
                                           -Joyce Carol Oates

Donna served a luscious breakfast even though she was heading to a physical therapy appointment. I did a load of laundry---underwear and socks, mostly---and just in time!

When Donna returned mid-morning we all headed to the Sonoran Desert Museum. Wow! A very cool place! But, no, actually it was very HOT there---a fitting temperature for an outdoor desert museum, I guess. My favorite things were hummingbirds and bighorn sheep but there were many other interesting sights. I found myself enjoying the flora almost as much as the fauna. The plants are so different from those in Florida. We were disappointed that many of the animals, especially the cats, were hiding away from the heat. Donna had packed an awesome picnic lunch which we ate on the museum grounds.

We returned to the house for a couple of hours and just relaxed. We had dinner out at a Mexican place. The food was very good and we left stuffed.

Bed time just after 10.
