"My father considered a walk among the mountains the equivalent of churchgoing."
                                                            -Aldous Huxley

Good morning, God!  We will be missing church this morning but seeing even more of your glorious creation.  Thank you for blessing us with this trip!

We bid farewell to the Grand Canyon Lodge soon after breakfast and boarded the bus for the drive to Bryce Canyon.  The drive was beautiful. I was trying to catch up writing in my travel journal and having a really hard time because I was so distracted by the gorgeous scenery. Our route took us down the Kaibab Plateau, up the Grand Staircase, through Orderville and Long Valley.

We had lunch at Ruby's Cowboy Buffet---a huge and very busy place!  I thought the food was pretty good. After lunch we went into the park to Inspiration Point and walked along the rim---our first looks at Bryce Canyon.  The WOW factor was extremely high!

After some revival time at the hotel, we went to Ebenezer's Barn and Grill for dinner and show.  The BBQ dinner was adequate.  We ordered a bottle of Outlaw Red wine which kicked it up a bit.  The show was entertaining---and nostalgic with songs from old TV westerns---"Ghost Riders in the Sky," "Bonanza," " Rawhide," and others.
Back at the hotel pretty much fell into bed and slept like rocks!
