"[The Everglades] are unique in the simplicity, the diversity, the related harmony of the forms of life that they enclose."
                        -Marjory Stoneman Douglas

It was our last morning and it began with a lecture which left a lot to be desired so John and I gathered our things, said our farewells and headed north to Orlando.  Our friends were moving on to Key West for another RS program, #7126, that we have done twice BUT we were still a little jealous!

We made a stop at Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary which had been highly recommended. We took the boardwalk loop, about 2 1/2 miles but really didn't see anything new---lots of red-shouldered hawks, a couple of pileated woodpeckers and some noisy anhingas. We also spotted a raccoon---up close and personal.  We enjoyed our picnic lunches provided by RS there in the park.

On to Orlando---Grandkids, here we come!
