Driver's state of mind

My trip in New Zealand has been a rather quiet one so far. I did not bungy, or sky dive, or water raft, or even ride a horse. I didn't do anything remotely dangerous to my life other than drive on the wrong side of the road. Driving though, I did enjoy a lot. New Zealand is by far the most naturally beautiful place I've ever seen. Its rolling hills dotted by fluffy white sheep, its green forests filled with the sounds of birds and buggs, its green lakes reflecting snow capped mountain tops, its secluded sandy beaches with playing dolphins, its dramatic beach cliffs with waves splashing into white mist against the rocks, its dramatic skies that change from golden at sunrise, through deep blue in mid day, to candy pink at sunset. It is most definitely the most perfectly beautiful place on earth. Every day driving through NZ is bliss.
Following the Southern Scenic Route through the Catlins must be my favorite bit. Milford Sound was slightly disapointing, maybe because the weather was a bit heisty. Don't take me wrong - it was nice, but I honestly liked the West Coast and the Catlins better.

I'm enjoying your pics, but I'm also really enjoying your writing! It's great! You are a true Renaissance woman. Can't wait to catch up in Thailand. -Amanda
