Good morning, everyone! Just a brief note to let everyone know that I arrived safely in Thailand last night. It was a great flight from JFK (I looked for Santa Claus when I crossed over the North Pole, but the lights were out at his place, so I can only assume he's taking a little time off given the end of season rush). Thai Airways was great- open bar, amazing airline food (that's right!), and unlimited movies from an in-seat entertainment console! It made the 17-hour flight seem....well...like 17 hours, but much more pleasant than expected. After a quick connection to Chiang Mai and a red truck taxi ride, I was at my guesthouse a little after 9:30 pm, Thailand time.
I'll be here for a few days before I check into Wat Phra That Doi Suthep to begin my meditation studies. Today, I'll be exploring the city by foot and doing a little shopping. Here are a couple of pictures from my guesthouse!

Hi Steve! Glad to hear you made it safe! You are definately an inspiration to me and others (not enough to get me on a plane for 17 hours yet though...keep working) I hope that your New Year brings you more then you could imagine and that you survive without your Treo ha ha.
