Editor's Note: Comet the cat was apparently none too excited about this trip. Upon returning home, we discovered this journal and the attached letter (at bottom) from the cat union.

DAY 1: The big sthupid one left really early today with two big box-like things with thingsth they've been packing.  There sthill are lotsth more of thosthe big empty things, so I'm enjoying sitting in each of them. Hmmm…sthomething isth amissth.  All the big empty thingsth got filled with sthuff, and the not quite asth stupid one and the two sthmaller oneth left with her.  Stheemsth sthrange, but at leasth I’m finally alone!  Joy, the whole housthe to mysthef!

DAY 2:  Ah…to wake up when I want, and not to have to perform with the rubbing and the purring.  The really nysth one (Liby, the bipeds call her) came and gave me food and love.  I feigned interest.

DAY 3:  More of the sthame.  Sthitting where I want, sthcratching wherever I want…I could get used to thisth.  While I am being sthufficently fed, I’m beginning to wonder where the bipeds went.

DAY 4:  Thisth isnth tho great.  My sthomach ith now bothering me.  I mith all the worship.

Day 5: I called the local chapter of the Cat Union for advice.  They thaid I needed to demand attenthion and offered some tacticth.  I’ve done them…not eating, not using my litter boxth like normal…I'll sthow them.

DAY 7:  I’m officially pithed off.  I’m sthitting on the dictionary, looking up the word "abandoned."  Food and drop in love isth not what I sthigned up for.  I need people around stho I can pretend I’m better than them.

DAY 8:  My sthomach sthill is off.  I’ve soiled asth many thingsth asth I can including my rear end.  I've got Liby worried but I don't know if the otherth "get it".   Sthe is giving me extra worship (at leasth that's thomething)…but I musth persthervere to bring the other idioth home.

DAY 10:  The one they call Aunt came in today.  Stheems sthes not as sthupid asth the othersth.  Sthe gave me a friggin bath.  If I wanted clean, I'd do it.  How inthulting.  I’ve put another call into the Cat Union to let them know that I am filing a formal grievance. But my hindsthide feels better.  A gruding "thanx" to the one they call Aunt.

DAY 12:  My sthomach isth better.  I am beginning to enjoy being alone.  I don't need biped humanth.  And then they reverth on me.  Late today, the little one who wearth yellow sthowed up and sthaid the nicesth thingsth.  All the other variousth sthupid onesth came with him ooying and aahing like I should care.  Oh wait, they brought me a humiliating shirt that sayth, "My people went to Yellowsthone, and all I got wasth thisth lousthy t-sthirt."

Should I notify the Union to call off the Grievance Action?
