well,as it goes, we thought taking small route teeny local trains across 5 countries to excape the bitter cold and dorm out the winter with the ocenas folks would save us hassles and money- but,the truth ended up being different. in good humor, it ended up taking literally 50 hours, and i think we took over a dozen trains.
in the process, our adventures included but were not limited to sleeping huddled in a group bundle of three sleeping bags zipped together behind some palettes on an industrial platform in somedrybird poop, being awakened by Austrian officers with bright flashlights, sleeping on some benches that gave us new odors, being humiliated by faschist Italian cops and made to leave the train for no reason, ahhhhhhh...
Venice was great and coldand wintery empty, and we enjoyed tea in a gambling cafe while waiting for new tickets on a train where we would not be thrown off.
Passing through the Austrian alps was snowy and amazing.
Vienna has a national train called the ´´Wien Weiner Weasel´´. a red weasel.
to stay in good spirits we began speaking with a german accent, turning all Woe into Voe.
vow... vhat vhen and vhy, the vienna viener veasel...
