Homesick

Today is officially our one month anniversary-- one month down and only eleven left. Yesterday was the first real dose of homesickness that I'd experienced, but it packed a wallop. The combination of the chilly, rainy weather, the unsuccessful search for popcorn at any local market, and the continual play of a wonderful farewell CD that my great friend Linda had made for me resulted in a funk-filled evening. Jim was kind enough to buy an $8 bottle of wine at the gas station (breathe, wine club friends, breathe) and by this morning, things were much sunnier, both figuratively and literally. Coniston is one of the loveliest places I've ever had the the pleasure of visiting, and it will feel bittersweet to be moving on in two days.

As Willy Wonka would say,'Greetings starshines ,the earth says hello' For the last week, and a day things have been a flip flop (the shoe kind). Luckily we stay at a nice little cottage, right down the road from a gas station.

Hello Springfield, we are in Gatwick and just leaving for the flight, but here's the joke of the day : Category is things uncommon on raodsigns; No left turn. No right turn. No forward movements. No reverse. In fact, get out oof the car and put your hands in the air.

Your trip sounds wonderful thus far and believe me you are not missing much here in West Chester, though I am sure that Amy will be sad to hear she missed the arriva... show all
