On my first day I did what all jet lagged people do and went back to sleep, however after dragging myself out of bed I walked the short distance to the beach and was flabbergasted at what I saw. Although small this beach is beautiful, I mean absolutely stunning and if I had to compare this to someone I would rank it on par with Jessica Alba (ooo yeah!!!!). So I sat on the grassy park and looked out on this beach watching surfers crash out and hot topless girls sunbath...which on a separate topic which I´ll discuss now is that I haven´t seen 1 ugly Australian girl yet, I mean not 1 I would say no to but they are all beautiful, I mean I have seen a couple of fatties, not huge but carrying some extra baggage, but they were out jogging and at least they were doing something about there problem...fair enough, I mean its not like Milton Keynes at all.

So after surveying the beautiful scenery ;) I started walking around the costal and stumbled upon what is apparently a well known beach walk from Bondi to 2 other beaches which takes about 2.5 hours and I didn't actually realise the time had flown by, but the views are spectacular and when I get around to putting photos up you see what I mean.

I went back to my room and even though it was only 6 in the evening I quickly fell asleep and I managed to sleep all the way through till 7am, at which point I went downstairs to read my book in fear of waking the other up. But after breakfast and Tom and Lewis waking up I found out they were going to Sydney Aquarium and I said that I was planning on doing stuff around the city aswell, to which Tom invited me along. At first I wasn't sure as if I would be intruding on there plans but in the end I decided I would. So we caught the German like-efficient buses to the centre of Sydney and walked down to Darling Habour where the Aquarium was, and just seeing the harbour is a brilliant sight and it was then I decided I would come back to take lots of pictures because there is just so much to see.

At the Aquarium, upon seeing the first animal, this amazing platypus I was once again filled with excitement like I was a 6 year old child again driving my electric 4x4 on my birthday :) This platypus just wouldn't sit still for a photo and I was reduced to standing there with my camera ready for the moment that he would swim by and I´d catch the little bugger in a picture and as you´re probably wondering I did, man I was happy.

As some of you know I love aquariums and this aquarium was fantastic I loved it, I even loved looking at those ugly fish that everyone else just walks past but not me. But it was amazing, they even had there own 'finding nemo exhibit, in which 10 year olds would joyful point out Nemo not noticing the 7 other clown fish behind him, but I wasn't going to spoil there fun.

Now at this time we began to move a bit quicker, this was because of Tom was becoming impatient and really wanted to go and looked at the fish that could kill him, so you can probably guess what we went to see....a jellyfish...I bet you though I was going to say shark?! These jellyfish had a tank with bright blue and red lights shining through them and they looked awesome, I took some pictures with the flash off so they stay blue and red in the pictures and it looks so good, like a screensaver. We finally moved onto the shark pool and there were some grumpy looking sharks swimming around...but what I couldn't understand is why they don´t eat the fish swimming right past them, I mean to the fish it must be like playing a game of chicken, when will the shark finally give in and eat one of them?? Well they didn't whilst we were there so me left the shark tunnel and sadly came to the exit and my first adventure in Sydney came to and end, but not before the guys took me to McDonalds to buy a soft serve ice cream.

Now this soft serve ice cream let me just explain. It basically the same to a 99 ice cream at home without the flake and the cone is shorter, but it costs...are you ready....30cents which is 15p, that´s right boys and girls 15p for an ice cream, I´m telling you I was loving it but I managed to restrict myself to only 1...for now I´m sure this soft serve ice cream will come up in this again.

Well my adventures in Sydney began on Friday and as the weekend approached I decided that I would do nothing, except stroll around and plan my adventures for the following week.

Well on Saturday I awoke kind of late and after a lazy morning of eating breakfast and watching the waves roll in from the top deck of the hostel I packed my bag and decided I walk down to Bondi Junction. I hadn't planned to walk all the way but it was quiet enjoyable and I eventually got to the town centre to find to my hearts delight that a food festival celebrating Sydney´s diversity was on and that free samples of many different cuisines were being given out which to me = A FREE LUNCH.

Strolling around Bondi Junction I came across the Westfield shopping centre, one of the largest in the southern Hemisphere and finding that it is full of Ripcurl, O´Neil and Billabong shops I realised my credit card was already in serious trouble. I was planning on throwing most of clothes away and getting new ones in New York at the end, but I fear at the start of my trip I may be about to start a new wardrobe :(

But on miraculous level, one only the Christians could understand, I walked out of the shops with nothing, deciding if I need anything I get it on the last day which I almost certainly will. So I began the trek back to the hostel and then mid afternoon on Saturday I did a little sunbathing to turn this milk bottle body into a nice tanned thing.

Well its Sunday afternoon here, just gone 1pm and I´m again doing nothing, I´ve just been sunbathing for last hour and now about to get some lunch, but later I´m planning my activities for the rest of the weekend, which will be action packed so I´m telling you now watch this space.
