WOW today was a busy day!
Ok so we decided to spend the morning inside to try to boost Daddy's energy so at lunch time we walked over to the downtown area and found an Irish pub to eat lunch in (I asked our waiter what a Kaiser Roll was and his reply was a roll of bread that looks like a flower and "I think has Kaiser seeds sprinkled on top"... OK)
We then hopped into a cab, and realized that we had the best cab driver EVER!

Me: Is the Air and Space Museum a walkable distance from the Lincoln Memorial?

Him: OH HELL NO! If you had wanted to walk, you wouldn't have taken a taxi!

We passed all sorts of buildings including the "Department of Injustice" and the Mileage stone which the cab driver told us was the stone that marked the starting point of any distance measured within North America, then we got to our destination: Lincoln Memorial.
A huge stone building that looked like a Greek temple with a statue of Lincoln inside. It was extraordinary.  I was about as tall as his foot was long.
We then decided to look around the area and found the Korean war memorial which was about 15 statues of soldiers in a garden. Doesn't sound like much but it was actually really nice.
After that we moved on to the American History Museum, which was interesting but there was too much going going on visually to really be able to grab your attention and thus it was a little boring, so we moved on to the Hirshhorn, a modern art museum that was really really good. What really bothers me about all of these modern art museums that we've been to is that they all have at least 5 Kellys. I officially hate Ellsworth Kelly.
After that we made our way over to the National Air and Space Museum. I loved it.
I only wish we had had more time there... you could easily spend a full day in there.
Then it was back to the house for a ribs and ice cream dinner.
