Whilst they're doing that we go wondering around a few more casinos, have some dinner then catch up with the lads... turns out they lost their money a lot quicker than expected. Still manage to stay out for a fair amount - I swear those casinos are a vortex... 5, 6 hours just disappears in seconds.
Next day Sarah and Andy depart early for their flight so myself, Oliver, Bree, Tom and Ben hit the gun store. Soooo much fun. Walk in and there are just guns everywhere. The guys are like "can we help you" to which I reply "yup we want to shoot stuff". Right what do you want, Tom: "M16 machine gun" "done what else" Tom: "Ummm a pump action shotgun" "done what else". Tom: "A handgun" "done what else". hahaha by this stage Tom's like ahhh nah that'll do hey. So i just say I'll have what he's having, as does Ben, Oliver opts for the AK47, which I must say, I'm a little jealous of - if only I had seen that!!
So after taking no identification, card or anything (we have to sign our name that's it) they take us on through to the shooting range. Oh before this we have to chose our targets, which consist of Bin Laden, other arabs, a person being held hostage, family and a few general bad guy look a likes - needless to say Bin Laden is the most popular.
Once through to the shooting range they put the gun into your hands and let you rip. Guy was a little scared at me laughing the whole time whilst firing the machine gun. I think Oliver was even more scared when the guy asked whose girlfriend I was hahahaha.
Following the excitement of the guns we had just enough time to drive out and take a photo of Sam's Town which was just one of those things that had to be done when you're fans of the band The Killers. Ended up calling in and having a drink - turns out Sam's Town is actually a rather nice casino. After that it was time for myself, Oliver and Bree to head back to our hotel, pack our stuff
Back in a cab we go, dump our stuff off and head out to meet up with Tom and Ben
Had a great last last night and finally got on a flight back to London at 9:30 the following morning. I nearly miss the connecting flight in Chicago as some stupid airline person told me the wrong gate so I run (with heels in hand) to L8 only to be told "no its K16 it leaves from" (I was previously at K18). So I get to the gate, huffing, puffing to be met by Oliver and all the flight crew... the door shuts as soon as I get in and the plane takes off before I can even put my seatbelt on. Soooo lucky.... didn't really fancy having to call up my boss and say... ahhh I've missed my connecting flight so will be in another day late hahaa oop's!!
Oh the joys Oliver is going to have travelling the world with me for 2 years!!
