Sooo after kicking back in Vegas for a couple of days we decided to hit the road and head to Hollywood. Journey ended up taking a little longer than anticipated as master Oliver got pulled over by the police for speeding due to reports of 3 convertible mustangs weaving in and out of traffic - us... not at all. Thankfully he was a very nice young man and let us off with a warning - whether that was due to my and Bree's charm or the fact that he just simply couldn't be arsed writing up a report for an international driver who knows.

So after getting back on the road and catching up with the others at the world's largest thermometer (go figure ??)  (thankfully they had managed to curb their laughter by this stage) it was slow steam ahead to LA.

Stayed in a hostel just off Hollywood Boulevard which, although nice and clean, confirmed the fact that we are all just either too old or just plain too snobby to stay in hostels hahahaha.

Spent the days driving around the the palm line streets of Beverley Hills, checking out famous people's gates/fences in Bel Air, the divine shops of Rodeo Drive and Melrose, star studded footpath of Hollywood and getting our fix of body bashing in the waves at Santa Monica.

All in all a very lovely place and one that I would definitely love to live in. Santa Monica was just gorgeous. Unfortunately we didn't make it up to Venice Beach as we found a bar that we rather liked and one pint turned into about 5 so we'll just have to go back.

Next morning we were up bright and early in order to commence our drive up the Pacific Coast Highway towards San Fran.
