Waking early as usual Oliver took himself down to the hot springs whilst I took the opportunity to catch up on some much needed beauty sleep. He said it was beautiful down there, perfectly still with a thin layer of stream coming off the water. Unfortunately he didn't have the camera and by the time he had come back up and got back down the steam had lifted. Still he managed to get some pretty amazing photos.
During breakfast of eggs to order, a few of the daring baboons made attempts to steal food only to be pelted with rocks by the lads and the skilful arm of Lindsay. One made it under the truck and managed to grab some bread. Thankfully none actually made it onto the truck.
We're leaving camp at 2 with lunch at 12.30 so after pulling down camp it was back to the springs for more water antics and sunbathing. Muzza grabbing some locals, set on getting the perfect under water/over water shot. Think he did a pretty good job.
Over lunch we had another truck meet - this time to discuss jobs and delegation thereof. Filling jerry cans, cleaning esky's/bin, collecting firewood, cleaning lockers etc etc. A lot of things seem common sense but unfortunately sometimes in groups common sense doesn't prevail. Managed to sort out a few things and a somewhat rota - Rach, Sarah and I being the firewood gatherers - something of which I'm sure will go wonderfully with my phobia of spiders!
We're now on the truck driving till dark when we'll pull over and bush camp. Managed to find more tasty street meat to feast on. I'm on cooking duty tonight so at some stage we'll stop at a village for food shopping. Oliver is thrilled with our choice of stuff peppers so have promised to do he, and equal veg hater Sam, a baked potato instead. Most meals are definitely a lot more veg based than meat. Sure that will change though once we hit SA and work our way up the east side. Oliver will be in heaven then.
