Deciding not to stay at the campsite due to its proximity to Rabat  we pack up and get dropped into the city whilst Oliver and Jay go in search of alternative accommodation - hotel or campsite, which will it be???

I spend the day wondering with Rachel, Josh and Clara.  Pretty boring city.  Walked around the streets for a bit, jumped on the net, wondered through the Medina, which was pretty disappointing having just come from Fes, then had a delicious lunch at traditional Moroccan restaurant.  Totally yummy and discovered by the need of wanting to sit on a roof terrace.  Good choice indeed.

Met back with the rest of the group to get cook group supplies before catching sight of our tonka truck towering above the rest of the traffic.  Climbing on board we wait with anticipation to discover where the rest of our stay in Rabat will be.. Rabat
Rabat
. the luxury of a hotel or grime of a campsite??  Turns out it's the latter, no bother, after all that is what we signed up for.  Oliver tries to encourage us by mentioning it has a bar, restaurant, pool table - the works... all good in theory we think but pretty much a dreamt up utopia.

Needless to say when we arrive to a campsite on the beach with bar, restaurant, pool tables and tents already set up a massive cheer erupts and we jump off the bus elated to check out   our new home.  Good choice boys, you've done well and just made Rabat look a darn sight better.

Of course that night we had to go check out the bar - cold beer woo hoo.  Ended up turning into quite a hilarious evening with some of the boys resorting to a non conventional diet of cat food followed by the introduction of 1,2,3,4 - a truly brilliant drinking game which saw us into the early hours of the morning.  Ending, I am told, with two certain people getting rather cozy with each other and Jamie sleeping outside the tent... could this be the beginning of an overland romance??

Next day was spent lazing around the campsite, a welcomed relief to those with hangovers, thankfully I was as spritely as ever once again succeeding in not having one hangover since starting this trip.  A group of us also collected mussels from the rocks on the beach.  Ended up with two massive bowls full which provided us with a delcious pre dinner treat.  Had some vino and watched the sunset which was lovely.

We also had two new comers join the group - Murray who we've already nicknamed Muzza or the Muz Man or just Muz from South Africa 25 and Kristy from Sydney 32, which means we   now have a totally full truck to Cape Town. I have a feeling that things will start getting interesting which goes along with Oliver's first comment: "The spice has arrived".  Watch this space.
