Today was effectively my last day in Shanghai. My mom, sis and I went to the Shanghai museum to look at the exhibit. My dad declined to go as he's not much of an art appreciation guy. My guess he went back to the small street stands to buy cheap stuff and eat cheap food. Those types of events are more to his liking so it wasn't much of a big deal to split up.
Shanghai Museum
The Shanghai museum had displays of ancient Chinese bronze and clay pottery. I was amazed at how advanced some of the bronze and pottery craftsmanship for their time. In particular the intricacies and details of the exhibition was astounding.
However the one bad thing is that some of the exhibition items looked like the cheap Chinatown wares. The Chinatown knockoff are so good that the real antiques (especially the Ming porcelain) looked like dirty/old plates knockoffs that had been buried for awhile.
