Memphis, TN to Dallas, TX
1231mi. Relative humidity: 48%

Today I awoke early, I visited a motel where they say a man named Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated by a land pirate. He was a great man I'm told, and I would be happy to have him on my vessel as a crewmate. As I was leaving another man who seemed lost at sea, seemed to be scouring the shore of the Mississippi, much like myself. I inquired, and found we may be long lost brothers. I offered him some of my rations and bounty and a brief trip on my land ship to his destination. Unfortunately, I forgot to document this encounter. I then visited a music factory, where they make recordings. I'm told many famous artists such as Elvis, Johnny Cash, and Jerry Lee Lewis made their starts. They're ok I supposed, but I prefer the little Mermaid soundtrack. I took a quick photo of me next to the microphone they used for their recordings. I sang a quick tune for the folks there. I quickly headed back to the landship in search of my destination and headed towards Dallas. I was navigating the plains of Arkansas, when a sudden squaw caught me, and I jumped to action. With both hands on the wheel, I fought the storm, negotiating the roads, and many other land ships. For a moment I thought I was back on the seas, but shortly it died down and began to calm again.

I crossed into the land of Texas and shortly after in a freak occurance, noticed some sort of majestic beast charging my land ship. It appeared almost like a missile, but in animal form. My ship took a hard blow to the side as I crushed the beast underneath. I held the wheel firmly and did not relent. I made some quick course adjustments and headed to Dallas. I met Hugh in Dallas and his dog Roxy. We at Chicken Fried Steak. Then learned about the Burning Man Festival. Goodnight
