Ok. Back in Muğla (pronounced Moo-la) after a necessary diversion to Ankara to obtain a replacement for an expiring ATM card, and  on the way back yet another diversion to the Greek island of Kaş in order to return to Turkey thus obtaining a new 90-day tourist visa.

I had intended to get my new visa on my way through Kaş during my "itinerary" plan from west to east. But, a delay in receiving my ATM card, then an injury to my Ankara host further delayed me. So, I had to get back to Muğla by way of Kaş for the visa renewal run. (See two previous blogs).

Now back in Muğla I'm about a month behind my "planned" schedule. It is later in the year . . . . and hotter! I had wanted to be beyond this region by this time. Oh, well.

I guess Muğla is one of the hot spots for ex-pats, Brits especially. Well, I haven't really noticed any significant foreign presence about. I'm only here for a stop over, on my way back to visit some archaeological sites I had to skip for the Ankara run.

All I did in the late afternoon/evening was climb the hills above town. There was something going on down in a neighborhood, and music was wafting up to me on breezes. So there is a musical accompanyment to my video pan of Muğla in an otherwise tranquil twilight.

Muğla is said to have its own chimney style.
