Well, I don't know if anyone is following this adventure of mine. But I've come to Bursa to try and live for a year or more, and to rent a house to do so. This is a new thing for me to do. And as of today I have just spent my first night and day at the house. I can't call it my "new" home, since "new" is just not a word that I can put with that building. It is very dirty and in deteriorated physical condition.

I slept well enough, though. In my sleeping bag, at that; but on a bed. No pillow. I'm using the sort of soft box-like bags I pack my clothes into my backpack.

Then today I cleaned the bathroom sink. It had been left dirty from the previous tenant--however long ago. But the porcelain sink and support are in fine physical condition, so the clean-up was not a problem.

Then, because I wanted to prune the trees in the "garden," and have for my bushwhacking hikes, I bought a pair of pruning clippers. Then proceeded to cut about 100 sq. feet of grass with them. So, tonight I'm pretty tired, and will cut this entry short.

Tomorrow I will try and get someone to help me get the gas turned on. That entails finding where to go to do so, and having an interpreter. Then, perhaps, I can get some hot water and a shower. And, pictures to follow.
