I have often heard the patter of small but signifiantly heavy feet across my forest hut late at night, but tonight I put face to those feet. High up in the canopy a large grey creature about the size of a cat flung from tree to tree. It was a bushbaby, and the first one I have ever seen in South Africa, although I have heard their wailing cries a number of times. It was bigger than I expected, but graceful and rather cute. But then so are most small grey furry creatures....

Anyway, it's worth a note. Bushbabys 1, Pangolin, Honey Badger and Aardvark still 0!
