Could it be Malaria?
Could it be those ticks?
I couldn't tell, as R250 just to ask a doctor seemed a little excessive, despite my increasing temperature, inability to stand, loss of sight and general aches and pains.
Luckily, I know folks with an empty caravan in the park, and at 30km/hr on the park roads, I was likely to make it back to Satara.
After three days I felt remarkably better - or at least able to drive! Just goes to show that even when you get unexplainable lumps on your skull (from beneath the skin) time heals!
Doctor Clara signing off!
(PS. For those of you who are interested, the cause remains undetected, but my money is on the ticks)
Update: After two weeks the lumps remain, are no bigger and are probably slightly smaller, but less painful. If anything should emerge 'alien style' I will do my best to photograph them for National Geographic. Well, you've got to be positive, right?
