Traveling from Paramaribo to The Brownsberg Nature Reserve in the South of Suriname. This was an exiting driving of 3 hours. Once we get in the bus the guide told us about the historical time of Suriname with the plantations. We passed the Suralco an Alminium company and get further on a RED ROAD!! We passed Savannes and on our way we saw small villages. People living in the interior the old authentic way. Once on the Brownsberg nature reserve we had the chance to see several bird kinds, and also 2 kinds of monkeys. We were told that there are 8 kinds of monkeys, 420 tree kinds and more than 120 bird kinds in this place. Dino told us about the many tree kinds and the medical working of some of them. We as travelers had a good feeling when walking in the Tropical Rain Forest to visit one of the Waterfalls named Irene Falls. It was hiking.... After a good lunch we get back to the city. There are also options to overnight in houses with bedding or in a Hamock. If you listing good you will hear Baboons.  To make this trip contact Oetsi Tours at www.oetsitours.com
