After a quick lunch I went and told Livia I was off to the museum before she could disappear anywhere else. The museum was nice. Very cold but lots of pretty gold things to look at, so I was happy. We weren't supposed to but I, rebel as I am (and I saw other people doing it so I was primed with me "she did it first" excuse if anyone challenged me) I took some photos to show you lucky people
I also went, briefly, to the church opposite the museum because I had wanted to go in a few weeks ago but... didn't. Anyway, while it was all very nice, I didn't stay very long because I was the only person there and there was an eeiry atmosphere. There were lots of confession... booths?...boxes?...places? and I kept freaking myself out by imagining someone jumping out of one of them. As you can tell, this trip is really helping me to mature, let go of childish fears etc.
Livia and I both went to pick up the children today and, while we set out expecting to collect two, we came home with five. Woops! Luckily their parents were aware of it so it was all good. The extra children were kind enough to take over my job of entertaining Metta and Millo so I was happy. One of Metta's friends I particularly liked. Millo seemed to take a shine to her and followed her around as if he had found a second mummy. Whenever this little six year old girl caught my eyes she would roll hers at me and shrug as if to say "kids". Someone is most definitely old before their time!
The children stayed until about seven so really it was only a matter of me having dinner with the kids (and I didn't have to cook- yay!), suffering through a bit of 'High School Musical' (I jest; it's a true cinematic triumph...) and I was done for the day. Score!
To conclude what has been a fairly successful day (despite Livia whining...more than usual I mean) I am off to counteract the flimsiness of High School Musical, with some hard hitting, intellectual film such as Disney might create.
