This morning's awakening surprised me. I was under the impression that, after three or four days of waking up at nine, the task of waking up at half seven would be impossible. However, it was surprisingly ok. I was not in quite the full zombie state I had anticipated. Only semi-zombie.
Anyway, after that successful bit of waking up I spent a large portion of the morning cooking vegetables. Jealous? I thought you might be. That's just how exciting my life is now; exciting enough that i thought that was an event worth mentioning...
You may recall that I have mentioned, once or twice before, how indecisive the weather here seems to be; well, today it seemed to be going for gold in that area. A day that started out looking as if it were going to be sunny very soon turned to rain. By late afternoon there was a short thunder (and a small bit of lightening) storm, accompanied by some hail, before the rain returned in full force. MAH!
Metta had a cello lesson today after school and after that stayed at her friend's house for a while. This meant that I saw her very little today. She did, however, manage to make up for this by being extra grumpy when she was with me. I would have hated to miss a whole day's worth of rudeness, you know... Livia skyped a potential au pair today, who is planning on coming here for a year, and the whole time they were talking I wanted to grab the computer and beg the girl not to do it to herself. I didn't though. Obviously. The skype sesh was quite entertaining in a way though, because it meant I got to hear Livia attempt to speak German (the girl was German, Livia didn't just decide it would be fun to speak a random language- very badly- to her).
The day ended with Millo and I going out to get pizza for dinner. It was pretty good stuff, but I felt kind of awkward because we were the only people in there and the girl behind the counter kept looking at us. Nothing says comfortable like being stared at while you try to eat tomato covered bread without getting it all over your face...
Tomorrow I plan on going to the museum as long as nothing comes up that stops me, so hopefully tomorrow I will have something genuinely interesting to write... though what can top cooking vegetables I don't know.
