In other language-related news, last night Maelys gave me another French lesson. I learnt the delightful phrases 'pompette' (tipsy) and 'cul sec' (chug...as in, to chug one's drink). Equally useful words to know.
All of us went to the park late morning (well, Livia came right at the end). That was entertaining. I went up in a children's climbing frame for the first time in....a month
On our way back Metta kept picking up different bits and pieces; rocks and leaves and twigs and the like. By the time we were back at the house she had collected about half the park (which I had to carry back. It was hefty, with about 200 rocks in the bag). She then proceeded to empty the bag out on the floor, so dirt went everywhere, left it there for a while and then we through it away. So, that was worth it....
Still, all in all, a not bad day. It went on for quite a long time (about 24 hours I believe) but that's probably only because I was exhausted! Admittedly my own fault (I managed somehow to stay up until about 4) but still, it made everything a slightly bigger effort. Ahh well, I have vowed to myself to have an early night tonight. We'll see how that goes! I have the impressive talent of being able to ignore my best interests and mental well being if there is internet access anywhere nearby. Must go now. The parentals have scheduled a skype meeting with me and I suppose I'd better be present for it, otherwise it's going to be quite a one-sided chat.
