Ok, vis-a-vis the title, I have something superduper out-of-this-world exciting (Slight exaggeration? Quite possibly) to show/ tell you, but I'll save it until the end. So, today. Millo started out in a pretty good mood which was nice. Admittedly, it did mean that he came and banged on the bathroom door until I opened it, just when I was about to have a bath, but that's a small price to pay for a happy Millo.
I did more of the wall painting today. Livia keeps changing her mind about what the right colours are, so I have to keep painting over it. She doesn't seem to have any grasp on how long it takes me to do the painting that she has just decided she doesn't like. Still, I suppose it is her wall, so I guess she should have some say in how it looks.
Lunch today was...minimal for me. There was a guest over and Annetta made crepes with bechamel...and ham. Now, I'm not sure what the Italian definition of "vegetarian" is, but apparently it includes ham because they keep offering me it. And I keep saying no. I'm sure they'll get it eventually. Maybe on my last day they'll realize that no I don't want a ham sandwich. Probably not though.
Now, yesterday on Skype I told the Ma and the Pa that I was going to try and see the Santa Margherita today. I didn't get to this today, mainly because I spent most of my time painting and then repainting that wall, but I will put it here that I intend to go tomorrow. The way I see it, if I write it here then I have to make it happen. Can't be letting ALL my adoring fans down, now can I...?
Ok, the superduper out-of-this-world exciting thing. I FINALLY got a picture or two (or a hundred) of the sunset. Admittedly you can't see the actual sun, but it's still pretty spectacular. I have decided, based on this sunset alone, that if I ever live in Italy it's going to be in Cortona. I've added a few photos of it because I felt, after making you wait so long for it, that putting only one would be a bit stingy. And the camera hasn't exaggerated the colours; it really looked like that, though it was even more beautiful in real life.
