Alrighty, while today's rain discouraged any particularly exciting activities I do still have a few write-able events up my sleeve.
Firstly, a couple of things I forgot to put in yesterday's entry. One, I burnt my finger on the dish my bechamel potatoes were cooked in and now have a super exciting, horrendously brutal scar... Two, my phone broke! (I can almost hear you crying with sympathy for me.) I don't know what happened. One minute I was looking at a normal screen, the next, after leaving it next to me on the sofa, the screen was completely destroyed! I have the feeling that may be the end of that phone...
Anyway, that's all I forgot to tell you about yesterday...as far as I can remember. Today, I cooked fish for lunch. It was cooked the same way Livia showed me to do it last week but today I did it all by myself (because I'm a big girl now). It was pretty darn good too, AND no one got food poisoning from under-cooked fish- as far as I can tell! I was also quite proud that I not only managed to cut the fish without hurling (that stuff smelt stroooong) but I also managed to cook it, while cooking three other pans of veg. I'm awesome.
That was lunchtime. For dinner, you'll be excited to hear, we revisited the interesting food stuff that is the rice ball. However, this time it was made slightly less unhealthy (I won't say is was healthier, because no matter what you do, rice balls will NEVER be healthy) by me adding about four thousand different vegetables, mashed to an unappealing, dark green pulp, to them.
Speaking of dinner, it was an interesting event tonight. Camillo, who had apparently been all good and happy today, decided that there was no way in hell he was going to eat said rice balls willingly and thus a war ensued between him and Livia, the result being that he DID eat the rice, but while looking pretty rosy in the face and crying at full volume. All this was happening while Fiammetta was also complaining about the rice (but, thankfully, still eating it). Kids! Needless to say, I'm fairly glad that dinnertime is over for today. Hopefully Camillo will have decided to declare peace by tomorrow dinner time, though, as I can still hear him crying in the distance, I'm not holding my breath...
