Brett and Maya's apartment

Oh, lazy week. We crossed the border from Cambodia to Thailand and have been spending the week at our friend Brett's apartment in a quiet area of Bangkok. The luxuries of a fridge, washing machine and internet connection have never been so loved and overused. But it's time for us to move on and so tomorrow we have a flight booked to Krabi, and we'll spend the rest of our 15-day visa on the beach.

By the way, the border crossing was ridiculous. Lots of waiting, then put in a van, then driven to the Cambodian border... more waiting... forms to be filled out... some kind of temperature scan to see if you contracted anything dangerous... more waiting.. get through the border and our driver has disappeared, no idea where to go, follow other people who also have no idea where to go...

find driver... waiting..... waiting... MORE waiting... driver says our connecting bus won't come until 2:30pm because of blahblahblah (it's frickin' 11am when he tells us this...) waiting waiting waiting...

Thankfully we made friends with the Japanese people in our van, our van was all Japanese people and then us, haha. One of the girls was actually from Kyoto, what a coincidence! So we waited and chatted until noon when the driver guy came back and said our connecting bus would be coming early, it should be there around 1:30 (hurrah!)

...and then came back again at 1:30 to tell us sorry, one more hour... and then 2:30 rolls around... no bus.. meanwhile a ton of travelers have been arriving and departing our rest area in various vehicles... FINALLY at 3:30 the bus arrives and everybody gets on... except for the two guys who have no seat. They overbooked the bus, haha OF COURSE... thankfully I saw it coming and rushed Oli to go on and grab us seats :o)

Anyway after that it was smooth sailing. I was so sick of buses and all the ridiculousness that goes along with traveling in them but after a week of not leaving the apartment I think I'm ready to tackle it again.
