So today we left Tulare, and went northwest 3hours to Gilroy, CA. Gilroy, unbenonst to us, is the garlic capitol of the world! As we were driving in here earlier, we rolled down the windows and could smell the heavy odor in the air, it smells sweet, and like someone is making a great meal somewhere! Also there are bing cherries for sale everywhere! The town is about 30mins from the coast, and a good exploring area from Big Sur to San Fransisco. We wanted to actually stay on the coast, but it is mostly natural parkland, and the camping is rustic, no electric, water or dump- which we have to have with this rig. So this is good for us, and also, it is awesome weather here! For the last couple of days we were in the valley, where the air pools between the mountains, and heats up. So around 11pm, its was still 95. Right now it is low 70's here, with a lite wind, and we have all the windows open and the AC off! Tomorrow we are going to explore San Fransisco, and Thursday we booked zip lining in the redwoods up by the coast, then we will explore the big sur coastline. The weather is only forecast to be in the high 50's/ low 60's here until the weekend (hoodie weather) and we love it! Friday we will head north again.
