Travelled to Heathrow on National Express coach with one change in Birmingham. Unfortunately, we had a female member of the Russian Mafia in a seat adjacent to us who made more phone calls on her mobile than I make in months. Felt like taking out the Kalashnikov and giving her a quick burst! Changed seats to get away from her but only managed to find yet another female (Asian this time) who was using TWO mobiles at once....................I give up!!
Anyway arrived at Terminal 5 on time only to find that I have contracted another bout of sciatica and can hardly walk. First port of call in airport was to find chemist and buy some Ibuprofen. Better get better before starting shopping in all those lovely gadget shops in USA!! Lol
Checked into hotel at airport to find that we are living in room of luxury; large bathroom with walk-in shower, flat-screen tv, king-size bed and switches in the wall that do everything but cook breakfast!! I think I'll stay here for the next 3 weeks and send Eileen on alone!!!......... well maybe not!
Been into terminal building to do recce for tomorrow morning, and then had some fish and chips.
Going to be an early start tomorow (5:30 alarm call set)..... hope everything goes ok.
