There were beautiful floral decorations everywhere. The clever resort staff and actually re-arranged and re-used many of the flowers from the morning ceremonies. Noah and Sumalai had made gifts for each guest, and the pretty pink boxes greeted the guests.
After the guests arrived, Noah greeted his bride. Sumalai looked beautiful again, and this evening she wore a western style bridal gown of Thai design. Noah looked very handsome in his suit with a teal silk shirt.
Once again, the resort did a great job
The bridal couple cut the elegant wedding cake. It turned out to be chocolate and it was the best wedding cake I have ever eaten!
Time for dancing! There is live music nightly at Ao Prao. The lovely male- female duo sang and played well into the wee hours, I hear. Aunt Lynn had prepared them the day before with a list of Jewish music to learn. They played Havah Nagilah and Noah and Sumalai were feted on chairs. Our multi-cultural group all danced together. We were a sight to see!
On beaches in Thailand, fire dancing is a cultural thing. I have seen this in the south, the west, and here, east of Bangkok. But nowhere else in Thailand. As a surprise for Noah I had engaged a fire dance show
After the show, the party was formally over. But the enthusiastic musicians were having a good time with our lively young crowd. They could dance! Yannik and Bea, Lawrence and Jeeb, Jun, Sophie, and others, oh how we enjoyed you! Noah and Sumalai's talented group of friends sing too. The live duo shared their mikes and quickly became a sextet or more!
Everyone at the resort commented on how genuinely warm and friendly our guests were with one another and how nice to the resort staff we all were. Noah and Sumalai, you have wonderful family and friends and your wedding is one that we will all remember fondly!
