. She said she had a great time and was tired tonight!
I went to 2 really nice Yoga classes taught by "Karen" at the "Sanctuary Resort" next door to Castaway.
The beach is quite beautiful and we are all very brown as it is difficult to completely avoid the sun. Our "fan bungalows" (no AC) are cute and clean, if a bit rustic, for me. Ellen had a bird and a frog in her bungalow this evening! The staff helped her get the little bird out safely.:) Noah and Sumalai are here with Sumalai's sister, Mom and niece also. I hope they have had a good time. We are a big crowd and we fly back to Bangkok tomorrow.
In Bangkok I will have Internet access from which I hope to be able to post photos. I have tried but cannot do that here. I am not certain where I will be going after Bangkok. If you check in here every once in a while, I'm sure it will be somewhere interesting!
We have been at the delightful Lanta Castaway Resort in Koh Lanta since Valentine's Day. We have all had lots of sun and food and smoothies. We all think that we are on one of the very nicest beaches down here. It is not uncrowded and good for walking and the water is beautiful. We have been kayaking on the sea at sunset. We have been to limestone islands that look similar to my photos of Halong Bay. There are just a few of these islands here. The coral reefs were interesting and the snorkeling was fun. The young people went on a wooden longtail boat for snorkeling. I went with a speedboat tour from the resort. We went to different spots. My boat (8 people) had divers with us also. I thought that alot of the coral on the reefs were dead and Ellen commented the same thing after her trip. I did see some brightly colored starfish and fish, and lots of shy black-tipped reef sharks. But even though it is a marine sanctuary, there are too many boats and people, and I do not think the trips are environmentally sensitive enough. Today Ellen went on a beginners rock climbing tour on Ko Phi Phi, the site made famous by the film "The Beach" which was shot there
