We spent Tuesday afternoon in the Silom neighborhood with Noah and Sumalai. We visited Noah's business and were so very impressed to see how hard he has worked starting a company from scratch and how much he has accomplished. His very professional office and jewelry workshop is located in a lovely 5 story building in the jewelry district. As we walked to meet some of Noah's "gold-workers" we stopped in at the famous Indian Temple which was just along the way. That was colorful! Noah's colleagues all speak very highly of him and we have been feted and treated!
Noah took us to Indra Tailor in Pratunam, the tailor shop that he likes best. Of course there ae thousands of tailors in Bangkok; I do not know how one can choose one over the other. Mark orered some clothes to replace the one he has been wearing for 3 years. Shirts and pants etc. are all made custom to his fabric choice and fit. For less money than ready to wear in the US, his new warddrobe will be ready in just 2 days time.
We spent the evening at Noah and Sumalai's lovely home. Understandably, I have not wanted to spend my time in an Internet cafe. I spent 3 hours on Noah's computer backing up photos and trying to learn how to use the travelpod website! I sure hope that our trip blog will be interesting and useful.
