We were kindly invited to attend the Isle of Wight County show and at 3pm we took part in the arena, As we drove round the compere asked us for a good reason why we couldn't fly today! I was handed a microphone and I explained the three excuses. Firstly Bembridge airport had recommended we didn't fly due to turbulance at 3000ft, Secondly aviation fuel was very expensive and thirdly I haven't got my pilots licence just yet. I parked up and continued collecting for charity when a friendly gentleman of mature looks and character asked me " so when will you get your pilots licence then"
