this was a national park about an hour and a half from Dublin that offered some gorgeous, absolutely stunning views... i arrived in the afternoon, dropped my bags and headed out for a short walk until the sun went down.. its amazing how early the sun sets here... next day i woke up early and was so excited to spend a whole day out hiking and walking... and it was raining!!! i couldn't believe my luck... but then again, it is Ireland! it ended up clearing up just after noon, so i still had a good 4 1/2 hours of daylight... off i went... not as picturesque as Plitvice Lakes, but the rolling hills were beautiful... i hiked up something like 600 steps and then got blasted by wind... once you climb all the way to the top its so open that the wind has a free for all with you... i kept picturing myself rolling head over feet like a tumbleweed... it was pretty funny... had a great day just hiking and taking in the sights... great note to end my over 6 months of travel on... first thing the next morning i was heading back to Dublin to catch a flight to London to start work...
