Caroline and i took a day trip to Stirling today... saw the castle and joined a tour, saw argyll lodging and on wednesdays a lot of the scottish historic sites are full of costumed actors so you really get a feel of how the places functioned back in the day... it was really interesting...
and then we did a walking tour of the whole city (its fairly small) with a scottish gent name Bill... didn't get out to Wallace monument, but covered most the other sites in the city... walked up to the beheading stone.. pretty kewl, just a little creepy to see the axe marks...
