another gongshow of a trip getting somewhere! at least i had company this time... it always makes it easier to see the lighter side of a shitty situation when you've got company!  Filip and i caught our bus no problem from Street to Bridgwater... then we get to the train station and make it just in time for the 12:08 to Bristol... but wait, we're in England and nothing runs on time here!... so we wait... and wait... then the 13:31 gets cancelled... but apparently the 12:08 is still coming... sure sure... so at this point we need food... well, Filip needs food, i just need a drink! so as we are walking trying to find a restaurant that is serving not just alcohol, but food (quite a hard thing to come across on a sunday in small town somerset!) we meet Marketa who was waiting for the train as well... she informs us that the 15:32 should be on time... great... we got time for food, drink and good company! a few pints of cider and a jacket potato later we've all had a good time and now its time to run back to the train station to catch the train.. view from my hostel room in Brighton

. it arrives and finally we are on our way to london... from London, me and Filip part and i continue my trek to Brighton...
Brighton wasn't too bad of a city... i just didn't have the greatest timing or luck... i got in fairly late, got some dinner and took a shower and got some rest cause the next day was job hunting day! on top of the dozen CV's i had emailed out, i handed out another dozen... not a single person seemed really that interested in giving me a job... they'd take my CV but really that was it... so here i am thinking, well, shit, if i don't find a job in the next day or so, i'm screwed... there weren't even beds at the hostel for the weekend... and at £17 a nite that was pretty steep anyways... so i decided to go back to Edinburgh.. it was the last day my train pass was valid and so seemed like the best choice... the beds were aplenty and only £10-£12 a nite... and besides i knew there were jobs!
on top of having a hard time finding a job, there was a wikked storm that blew in... very random, starting as suddenly as it stopped... the winds just gusting away and rains were just pounding down... i couldn't even walk along the sea front back to the hostel cause the wind was so strong... it was like walking in slow motion... kinda funny actually... i had to weave through the alleys trying to get back to my hostel... pretty crazy...
so in all the job hunting frenzy, i hardly even got to see the city... the view from my hostel window was beautiful... right on the water, with the wind the waves were bigger than i have ever seen in real life... it was so kewl.. the hostel was right close to the pier too but i didn't get a chance to walk down it... i did walked around the royal pavilion and the lanes a bit... i'll have to come back and see the city under better circumstances...
