Getting to london shouldn't be so difficult...

an hour train ride and £22.95 later, i arrive at liverpool street in london! breath a sigh of relief and really just have a good laugh! oh the joys of travelling...
got into london after another interesting trip... got on the ferry with no problems from hoek van holland... can't say it was the most relaxing ferry trip, full of screaming kids and no where to sit comfortably... 6 or so hours went by very slowly... but either way, it wasn't too bad... then it was a matter of getting off... apparently there is no foot passenger walkway so all the passengers had to go down into the undercarriage freight area and load onto a bus to be taken off the ferry... so we're waiting, wondering why the vehicles arent moving... the first vehicle, a big ol' tractor, couldn't start its engine! just our luck... some people on the bus had planes or trains to catch, and other important things to get to, so they are stressing but they still wouldn't let us off... so it took about 20 minutes or so and they finally towed it out with a forklift... so off we go... i swear, we drove no more than 50 meters and they dropped us off... seriously, was it really neccesary for us to sit and wait on a bus for 20 minutes to just drive 50 meters!? i don't know why we couldn't have just walked that!? so then we go through the passport control which takes quite a while and then the luggage was delayed so we had to wait for that! i hadn't even wanted to check my luggage in the first place, but it was mandatory! finally the luggage comes and then i run to catch the train... in theory had we gotten off on time and not had to wait, the train would have been waiting for us to get into london... but of course not... waiting waiting waiting... finally a train comes...
